„Large Capacity Intensive Care Ambulances“ –

It is essential for both military and civilianauthorities to develop concepts for dealing with mass casualty situations. And it was for this reason that the State of Rhineland-Palatinatein Germany commissioned the productionof two large capacity intensive careambulances for use during the FIFA 2006World Cup. The ambulances were adaptedfrom an existing low- oor municipal bus design.The two vehicles are now on standby for use in civilian disaster situations. They are stationed in Koblenz and Ludwigshafen and are crewed by personnel and operated by the local fire services.
