“Partnering to Overcome the Health Challenges of the Americas”

The Vth Pan-American Congress of Military Medicine (PACMM) was hosted by The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs in San Antonio, Texas, 10-15 November 2008. It was an event of the Pan-American Regional Working Group of the International Committee of Military Medicine ICMM, the international and intergovernmental organization of more than 100 Member States. The theme chosen for the Congress was „Partnering to Meetthe Health Challenges of the Americas“. The main topics included: Infectious Disease,Epidemiological Surveillance, and Military Medical Support to Civil Authorities.
