Medical Entomology – one column of force protection in military missions

There are many potential threats to deployments – regardless of a humanitarian or military focus – that need attention. Direct attacks by regular or irregular armed forces, mines etc. can be dealt with increased security instructions and military preparation.Health risks by diseases are no less a threat – especially for deployments in tropical or subtropical regions with their manyfold diseases. One possibility for preventing illness from such a disease is the medical reparation before the deployment (e.g. vaccinations), a second the adequate treatment while on the mission, should someone get ill.
