MILIPOL: Tactical rescue by RO Stealth System – now hands-free

The RO Stealth System rescue harness was developed for emergency rescues. It is easy to attach, ready for use in just 3 seconds, and extremely effective in rescuing victims from dangerous situations, while ensuring full freedom of movement for the rescuer. In France, where it is manufactured, this invention has already won several awards in recent years, including at the 2022 Lépine competition.

The RO Stealth System rescue harness can be attached vertically or horizontally to the battle belt or ballistic vest (back or hip belt using the Molle system). Emergency personnel recommend attaching it to the back of the vest so that the straps can be placed around the injured person from a higher position.

Carrying and lifting an injured person from the back area is said to be more comfortable and easier than from the belt/hip area.

To use it, simply grasp the two packs with the strap extension on the right and left and place them around the injured person under their arms or around their chest area. The strap is then closed with a buckle and can be tightened.

This leaves the rescuer’s hands free to carry their weapon or ballistic shield, for example. Instead of placing the strap around the injured person, it can also be threaded through the rescue loop/handle of the ballistic protective vest. This allows an injured person to be pulled along behind them as if on a rope.

In addition to the version for military and police forces, RO Innovation offers a RO Firefighter rescue sling version. This was developed specifically for emergency rescues. It is identical, only labeled differently, and the outer shell uses a more heat-resistant material.

It is distributed by AMG Pro from Osny in France. The system was also demonstrated live at Milipol 2025 in Paris.
